How do i get my straight hair to curl?

I have naturally straight hair, i've tried curling it so many times and nothing works =[ do any of you have the same problem? What do you do about it ? I want my hair to curl for the semi formal coming up :(

Well if you're using a curling iron, then I would try spraying your hair lightly with a very firm hold hair spray before. Separate your hair into small sections, then curl small pieces. Spray again. Also, try starting the iron halfway up the section and wrapping it up until you reach the root. Then slowly move done while wrapping the remaining hair. Often times when you start at the very bottom and wrap all the way up, the heat doesn't transfer as well at the top of your head as it does right in the middle of the iron barrel.





If you tried a perm and it didn't work it is possible that they didn't use a powerful enough solution or they didn't let the chemicals process long enough. Your stylist may need to use smaller rods too. If your hair is difficult to curl it won't make you have super tight spirals.How do i get my straight hair to curl?

Try this: instead of using a regular curling iron, use one that doesn't have a clamp. They work so much better than anything else i have tried and curls last much much longer. You can buy them at beauty choice.com, but they are pricey. anywhere from $80-90. so, heres an alternative; take your regular curling iron and unscrew the clamp! it works just the same as the pricey ones and you can easily put the clamp back on!

lol my dad is right god cant satisfied nobody.i have a really curly hair but i wanted straight and you have a straight hair but you wanted curly.have you try to buy a curler iron if you dont want to damage your hair go to a store and ask for a gel that make you hair curly.you can try braid it at night and sleep wit it or you can try those rollers.
My hair is just like that, try showering at night and putting it in a un all night, then it will be curly the next day and hold a curl easier. if that doesnt work then dont wash your hair for a day or two, then the oils in your hair will hold a curl better and if that doesnt work then try A LOT of hairspray good luck :D
ok so my hair is like that too. what u do is buy foam curlers and they come in every size. the bigger the size the bigger the curl the smaller the size the smaller the curl. and while ur hair is still wet put the foam curlers in and spray a light hairspray and some spray gel. then sleep. Zzz..........





ok so when u wake up take them out and u will look like u have an afro. but, what u do it put a shine spray on them and come through with your fingers and hairspray once more that will make them beautiful.
yes i have the same hair its not that you cant curl it you might be doing it the wrong way because when i was getting ready for prom my mom did my hair and she said i wasnt holding it right or moving it in the right ways
well if you mean curl like scrunching it use paul mitchel ';round trip'; it is the one with the red cap.


but if you want to curl your hair with an iron...try the small conair or whatever brand that has a super skinny one. use that then HAIRSPRAY!!!!!!
Okay, get a shampoo that's made for curls. And also get a spray that gives you waves, they have them from garnier frutis. So once you get out of the shower, apply it to damp hair and then crunch your hair with your hands.
perm- it isn't like 80's hair style...you can choose the type of curl you want to get (more tight to wavy)

try herbal essences shampoo ';totally twisted'; and leave-in hair products you can find them at a drugstore
use scrunch mouse, flip your head and scrunch away...heat rollers work well too...keep them in for triple the time even after they are not warm and more and put a bunch of hairspray on them before you take them out...
What I did is now that I have razor cut layers I have gotten some curls. I take showers at night and pow curls. I kinda hate it....lol
Braid it right after you shower, when its still damp. Sleep with the braids.Your hair will be wavy.
