What hairstyles are there for straight hair?

I have naturally thin, straight hair and everyday I have my hair put up in a ponytail. It's boring seeing the same hairstyle everyday. Are there other styles I can try out that are quick and easy for me to in the morning? What hairstyles are there for straight hair?
you can curl your hair but it may take quite a bit of a time, put your hair half up, put your bangs or any hair that is like a bang up and leave the rest or you're hair down, put you hair in a bun, a sideways ponytail, 2 pigtails, braid your hair, braid you hair at night and take it out in the morning and leave it out for the day you will have waves and if you want you could spray it, and you could pull you hair back with a hairband, clip you hair to the side, these are the hairstyles i can think of for nowwWhat hairstyles are there for straight hair?
Part your hair in the middle. Take about an inch of hair from each side and pull it back, securing it with a clip to the crown of your head. Then, French braid the remainder of your hair. Experiment with these variations:

* Tie the French braid about two inches from the end and find a way to curl it (or chunk it up with gel).

* Braid thread or yarn into your hair and clip it up.

* Braid all of the hair that goes into the clipped part in front (don't use rubber bands, just let it hold) and clip it up. The ends may not hold, but they can't come loose as long as the clip stays put.

This may sound confusing and I can't really explain it, but this is an easy hairstyle that doesn't require a hair cut, brand name hair products, and is easy to do in the morning.
get a shampoo and roller set at a salon look at all the models out there with fantastic roller set hair
You can buy headbands for your hair.Or you can buy little clips to make you hair look CUTE... 8D
you can get your hair layered and it will look like it has more body and you can use sunsik yellow if you hair is flat too like mine
Try keeping it clean, that is more attractive than any cut.
Try scruching it, it looks nice...or try curling it! Good luck!
oh, there are PLENTY of styles for straight hair, experiment! try leaving it down

  • What is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?

I have naturally straight hair and i wanted to buy a diffuser but i DO NOT know which one to buy..... i want my hair to look like it is naturally curly!.....

please help..and thank you in advance. What is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?
Pretty much any diffuser will work on a regular blow dryer ( con-air has a nice one) just do not push the diffuser all the way down on the blow dryer because you could end up melting it on there. Since your hair is very straight try a wavy enhancing productWhat is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?
Hahaa. I was just like you months ago. But honestly they all do the same thing. I ended up getting a conair one (which works fine). But if you have naturally straight the diffuser is NOT going to create any curls whatsoever. I learned that the hard way %26amp; ended up being disappointed :(! The diffuser is for people which have naturally curly or wavy hair. Sadly...

ok, i signed up to yahoo justg so i could answer your question.

i used to be a hairdresser so, you can trust me here. :)

you need to blow dry your hair before you straighten it.

i have SUPER curly hair and if i dont blowdry it, it wont stay straight.

its all in the products you use.

    i have a parlux hairdryer.

    it was about $200

i dont even have to straighten my hair anymore, the hairdryer works so well.

tru using a treatment in your hair inbetween your shampoo and conditioner.

shampoo opens your hair folicles and conditioner closes them

so you want to put your treatment in between them both. :)

the treatment will help relax your curls and make it softer and easier to stretch.
try a chi and do it hard and long
    ghd
You could try Japanese hair straightening (thermal reconditioning), which is permanent. Personally, the straightening shampoos don't work for me. Be sure to always blow dry your hair straight, right after you towel dry, do the front first. I use Loreal Vive conditioner, works miracles (pink bottle), and Garnier Fructis (sp?) shine spray, you could try a fragrance or something else that will weigh down your hair.
I have the perfect answer!!! My friend has this problem..u need to get a Chinese perm! Its super super super straight! And it last forever! But it cost...like alot! But worth it! They are kinda hard to find places that do them though! Hope this helps!
well you could go to the hair salon have your hair relaxed, thats what I do.
Use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny on your ends when your hair is wet before you blow dry it and also try VO5 Heat Defense Spray/ Miracle Spray. Try it out =)
use a hair straightener and press hard, and do it slowly.

if you dont have one, when you blowdry it, use a brush and brush it while you dry it

OR make sure you dont have any split ends
instead or the straightening shampoo, try a de-poof shampoo because sometimes this will calm the curls at your ends enough for you to be able to straighten them. Also, make sure that the heat on your straightener is high enough and that you stay clamped on your ends for a little longer than the rest of your hair. Hope this helps!
Watch this video. I don't really like herbal essences, but the video explains it well:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=0Ll77d6hjYQ
I would go to a salon...
i have this same problem i hope reading the answers you got will help me
put some oil in your hair and use a flat iron and then spray it with a holding sheen. another thing is your ends frizz up when they need to be clipped so try that also. your might have split ends
    Perm it.

Not the curly kind of perm, the straight kind. You can get your hair professionally relaxed or do it at home.

    Pros!:

It makes your hair DEAD straight.

It lasts forever (until the hair grows out) even if you get it wet or wash it or anything.

    It's pretty cheap

    Cons:

It kills your hair like dying it does. But a little worse.

it stinks to high heaven a couple of hours after you do it

you have to survive withoutwashing your hair for something like 3 days afterwards.

and even if you find afterwards theres still a few flicks and curls, now that you've relaxed it it WILL straighten.

(make sure you're using GHD, they're a godsend!)
you could straighten it with a straightener. or you could go to ur hairstylist and ask to get it ';razored';. i think its easier to straighten like that, but make sure its what u want before you do it.
straighteners and ironers. i mean the ones that iron clothes
Blow dry your hair using an ionic round brush to get body and it will take curl out of your hair. Then when hair is completely dry, go over with a flat iron. This will get your hair super straight, as opposed to just using a flat iron.
    i know the perfect thing.

    its called a straightner.

it comes in a box or packet and can be found in a store.
you go a hair dresser or get a straighter
    go to a salon
is your straightner REALLY hot, that oftens helps.
this is silly but i use a iron, yeh a regular iron and it works the best, and a cd wrapped with a towel, just don't do it all the time
If you want it temporary- straighten it with a flat iron, if you want it for 6 months get it relaxed in a special salon

But straightening your hair damages it greatly- it depends how old u are, but if ur young I highly reccomend you DONT straighten it.......
    use an iron!!!

    trust me !

what you do is, you heat up your iron, take a cloth and iron your hair!

    trust me, this works !
well, i used to use herbal essences but it didnt work to wel for me but then i started using sunsilk and it worked better, and continue to use a straightner
use a flattening iron and what works for me is redken 12...it's this wax like paste that straightens my hair pretty well
There are sprays to use b4 straight ironing your hair. Make sure your iron is heated up enough, but not too much for it to burn your hair. Use a lot of conditioning products also if you use the iron a lot. Go to your local beauty salon and you could also ask them, thats your best bet.

    Beth
    HEAT PROTECTION.

Straightning creme as well. Blowdrying your hair straight before you straighten?

These work for me anyway and I'm natural curls/waves.
I have the same problem but I just straightening jel (I forget the name but any straightening jel will do), the conair blow drier with the straightening attachment, adn then I finish it off with a straightener. It is bone straight. Trust me, you will not regret it.

you dont have to cut it because it sounds pretty to me especially if its long. you could pin the sides of your hair back with bobby pins, put your hair in a low bun kinda off to the side with a pretty clip like a flower attached to the clip on the side the bun is on, you could put your hair in a pony tail or bun and put one braid on each side of your head and make it go into the bun, you can look in seventeen magazine because they have one hair style for everyday of the week and usually they are pretty hairstyles. i hope i helped =]
    You have my hair!

I like to keep my hair super long, but with layers all over my hair (and not just in the front). This gives my hair volume and body -- thick hair with no layers can be too dense and heavy.

I like curling my hair with a curling iron because of my natural wave. It never has to be perfect. Once I curl my hair, I run my fingers through it to make it more soft and wavy.

Most of the pics on this page are great for long, thick hair with layers and waves:

    How about a Rihanna bob?

With a good stylist the thickness canbe reduced to look more comfortable and easy going than holding alot on your head.

I got one and it looked great. But after a while it started to gain it's thickness again, so i suggest getting some of the thinning scissors or shears.

How can I get perfectly straight hair?

I have naturally wavy hair, and I hate it...

I use a straightener, but that never gets me through the day. My hair always gets all curly and wavy after a couple hours.

Is there any way I can have straight hair? How can I get perfectly straight hair?
get it permanlty straightned at a salonHow can I get perfectly straight hair?
Hi there. Now, your first given clue to us is that, it's natural. Now, this have to deal with the genetics. Being wavy and so on, it's all in the disulphide bond in your DNA, and nothing can be done about that.

Straightener only gives effect to those less-wavy hair (most of the time) but ain't permanent. Your hair kept on growing and it's always new from the bottom.

Now, there's 2 way for you to do this:

    1. Rebonding

    2. Live with it. Everyone is given by nature how we should look like and sometimes, people change it. Some people will look very nice in wavy hair (you don't like it wavy doesn't mean people don't like to see you in wavy hair, perhaps, they are jealous?).

    Have a nice-hair-day.
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?

I want to look glamerous, but not trashy. I've been told I need to work on my look, to stand a chance in the entertainment industry. How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?
I wear my makeup in what I've been told looks very 'classy', and we have the same coloring! It's all about looking well put-together but not overdone. Here's what I do:

    Wash face and moisturize

Apply a light foundation evenly over the whole face

Cover up and blemishes with concealer

Use a large brush to apply a light dusting of blush over the apple of my cheeks (I use a rosy pink)

Starting at about the middle of my upper lids, I draw a line of black liquid liner to the outer edges, with a tiny little tail at the end (I ALWAYS get complements on my eye makeup)

Apply one coat of mascara to the upper and lower lashes

Finish up with some clear lip gloss, and done!

I use mainly cover girl products, I find they work really well and I don't blow a wad of cash on my makeup products.

Just make sure you buy blush, foundation, and eyeliners that match your tones. How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?
Stick with sheer gloss and two coats of mascara. You'll look polished but not over done.
go to the mall, and find a MAC. This question goes to those who actually work makeup for a living. There are very good at it, and I say be comftorable with what they say or it isn't worth it
you can go with anything but you'd probally for classy make up go good in navy or gray smokey eyes and a bit of berry or reddish lip stick (if your going for classy). i could tell you exactly what would look good on you and what you need to get if you had a picture of you. maybe add a picture and i'll come back and tell you more.
purple eye liner really brings out greens eyes so try usin a little of tht. only use a little mascara to make lashes look more natural .. hope this helped xx
Go just a little darker with a smokey eyeshadow and black eyeliner. Your foundation needs to match your skin but then add a little bronzer.

Go to any major department store...Belk, Dillards, etc...they offer makeovers to show you how to wear makeup.

Does anyone know of any good ways to get my partly straight hair wavy?

I have wavy/straight hair but it doesn't look very good wavy. My mom won't let me get a perm and my hair is really layered so it's hard to use hot rollers and things like that. Are there any good suggestions on products or something like that to get my hair really wavy? Thanks ya'll!Does anyone know of any good ways to get my partly straight hair wavy?
I agree with your mom, a perm will damage your hair. Have you tried a big braid when you go to sleep? Have a shower at night and make your mom put a big braid in your hair, go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning take the braid out and you'll have nice big waves. You might need an anti-frizz balm to run through it. Have you also tried diffusing it?Does anyone know of any good ways to get my partly straight hair wavy?
put in some leave in conditioner when u get out of the shower ..towel dry and put ur hair up into a messy bun.....wait for the hair to dry or sleep with it like that and in the morning ur hair will be wavy
when it is wet put some gell in it and scrunch it i twill turn out wavy and beautiful and let it dry try it i do it to mine all the time it looks really pretty trust me!
put braids or plaits in ur hair while it is wet.
Use ';Dippity Do'; gel all over and finger wave your hair then let it dry or sit under a bonnet dryer....use an air-vent brush for a fluffy effect or a wide-toothed comb for a more severe and flat look, or leave it alone for the quintessential 30's look!

A good conditioner and proper care can make you hair straight naturally. You could use Leave on conditioner. You can not blow dry but you can brush your hair in a way that it can remove the frizz. After shower when you r ready to comb put all your hair on right side and brush to remove frizzes, repeat on the left side brush it. Put all your hair on the front to remove frizz from behind and now pull all your hair on back and remove frizz. This will remove firzz from all four sides and also give bounce to your hair. It has always worked for me. Good luck to you sweetieHow can you get straight hair without heat or chemicals?
oh lord. . wow. . geez. lol okay so try towel drying it and then putting in some leave-in conditioner (for the frizz) and comb it straight untill it drys. it'll take forever but it's the only thing i can think of. .
Theres something at the store thats keeps your hair less frizzy. To keep it from getting wavy i would dry it with a towel, brush it a couple times until its really soft, then tie it in a ponytail.

Yep, I actually use a Tr茅same curling mousse after I wash my hair. I just comb through my hair then blow dry and flip my hair over and comb through again. Then I let me hair airdry for a few minutes and then comb through thoroughly for shine. ( :
to get straight hair, get some straighteners like ghd's, my hair is ringlets and these take me 20mins to get dead straight!

for volume, use charles worthington, they are really good at at the moment in boots its 2 for 6pounds!
For volume, apply tresumme mousse on the top of where my hairline is.Then, put your head upside down. and blow dry like that.

Then, flip your hair back , and volume-tastic.

    Buy Tresumme mousse lasting finish/hold.
get heat protection spray - spray it onto your hair then straighten it using straightening irons then to add volume get some hairspray and lift a piece of hair and spray underneath it towards the roots; this instantly adds volume!
blow dry with a round blowdry brush get as much curl and volume as possible and then straighten it after!

  • How should a style my thin, stick straight hair so it looks fun, without a lot of work?

I've cut my hair to a little below my chin but its still flat and boring. It doesn't hold a curl very well unless I use a ton of hairspray, so anything tips you have to make it a little more fun without a ton of work would be most appreciated... =]How should a style my thin, stick straight hair so it looks fun, without a lot of work?
My friend had her hair cut the same length, and she has board straight hair. She got a perm done with small curls and it was really cute. My hair is long and really thick, so other than that I wouldn't know what to tell you. Good Luck :)How should a style my thin, stick straight hair so it looks fun, without a lot of work?
all right. what u do is after u take a shower, put it in the best bun that u can. let it dry that way, and it will be more curly. thers also curling spray at stores.

Get a straightening serum/cream and blowdry it while wet and combing or get a straightener..you can still use it even if you're a guy :PHow do you turn curly hair to straight hair?
use a straightener. Your mom prolly has one and if she does she prolly has thermal protection spray. YOU MUST USE THE SPRAY

How can I get really nice looking straight hair with a normal straightener?

It always looks really brittle after I straighten. Am I doing something wrong? How can I get really nice looking straight hair with a normal straightener?
Unfortunately, straightening irons are very drying and the ';brittle-ness'; of your hair is actually it gradually getting burned. I learned that it is much better to blow-dry your hair. Your hair will be much healthier and look great. Try styling with a circular bristle brush (like they do when you get your hair cut) and flip out the ends. I've gotten tons of compliments. How can I get really nice looking straight hair with a normal straightener?
try using a different shampoo. i have thin fine hair and i use suave amphfily it works as well as the expensive stuff does.
You need to use a really good conditioner in your hair before using a hot iron like that. Look for a heavier type of conditioner since your hair is brittle. Leave the conditioner in your hair for about 10 min. then rinse it out, this helps condition it really well. Good luck!
I HAVE SUPER CURLY HAIR AND I JUST STARTED STRAIGHTING MY HAIR AND IT LOOKS BEATIFUL I USE HOT TOOLS FLAT IRON. AND ORGANIC OLIVE OIL SHEEN SPRAY AND IT SMELL GOOD TOO. ITS A GREEN BOTTLE AND U CAN GET AT SALLYS BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE TRUST ME REALLY WORKS. GOOD LUCK
i work in a weave store i know some types to have your hair straight theres something called castor oil or something. just condition your hair
ceramic straighteners work better because they cause much less heat damage on your hair and are less drying. i use one every day and my hair is healthy and not overdryed.
CERAMNES FLAT IRON-STRAIGHTENER) THEY AT WAL-MART,SALLY,K-MARTS, PLACES LIKE THAT.LITE CONDITONOR ,(OIL SHEEN) BEFORE JUST A DIME SIZE IF U HAVE SHINE NORMALY HAIR I HAVE BEEN DOING HAIR SINCE 11YEARSOLD.
Theres a straightner that straightens hair without it being dry or brittle, its a lil on the expensive side but it works. Even on the most thickest curliest hair.
After you get out of the shower blot your hair with towel. Take blow dryer and in sections blow dry your hair straight with a brush, make sure nozzle pointing down and follows the comb as you brush your hair down. Place hair serum or conditioner or any kind of smoothing serum to your hair. Then proceed with straightener and you should have a shiny finish ;)
try to use some paul mitchell's super skinny serum before you straighten out each section of your hair.its like fifteen dollars but really worth it because it works great and you can find it in salons, plus it makes your hair smell good and not dry or burned...especially on your tips because that's where your hair's most vulnerable

and doing it in front of a mirror and blast ur hair with cold air after ur done straightening.

try a different straightener, such as a chi. they're the best
idk if there is really a technique , i think it just depends on the type of hair you have..i wish i could help though! sorry : (
I always wake up early to straighten my hair. But I guess if you didn't have any time, you could use a product to put in your damp hair (such a relaxing balm) to kind of relax the frizz before blow drying and it makes a difference. Contact your local salon for more questions.

How do i get straight hair without a straightening iron?

My hair is VERY thick and curly.I try conditioner, leave it in a little bit(since conditioner promotes curls),and it still has curls when wet.I use the blow dryer with a round brush and it just seems to shrink and it doesn't really move as i shake my head,it just stays their, and it get all thick and poofy again.PLEASE HELPHow do i get straight hair without a straightening iron?
Not possible. I was going to say just brush it when it's wet, but you have curly hair.. I think curls are beautiful, but if you don't like them I'd just buy a really cheap plastic straightener from Wal-mart or something. Good luck! How do i get straight hair without a straightening iron?
when your hair is wet, keep brushing it for 5 mins straight, then regularly brush it til it drys (naturally). It wont make it that straight, but itll make it a little bit straighter than it was.
You have to be very good with a blow dryer. Put your hair in a pony tail and pull out each piece and blow dry each straight with a brush. After each piece put on some de-frizz product you like and a little hair spray when your whole head is done.

go into a black hair salon and ask for a relaxer..it normally cost anywhere between..50-75. you may want to call first and make sure they feel comfortable doing your hair. if not find a salon that is diverse and find out what their chemical striaghtening system is and how much it cost.. the japanese one is expensive and really doesnt do all that good..
Ok this it i am going to get one to its called a perm to have your hair stay whatever style you want
japanese straightening definitely. its the only way that works well for a long period of time.
the only option is getting it chemically straightned either by your hair dresser or doing it yourself at home

well you could get a hair straightener, but that only lasts until the next time you shower,

there is also a thermal hair straightening, which uses chemicals to keep your hair straight.

it lasts 6 months to a year, and its a series of treatments.

    but it costs a lot.

    so i only know two.
you could buy a flat iron...but u really need to ask your stylist or beautician about a product that couls rehydrate your hair...i suggest a hydrating cream or balm.
Straighten it with a hair straightener, or get it Chemically straightened.

a good blow out always works. when you get out of the shower put some smoothing cream in your hair and blow dry. then take a ceramic straightner to it, but be sure to put some heat protecting spray in it. but it i were you, i would learn how to control my waves! because straigtning your hair everyday can be very bad for it. good luck:]

i have the same problem! the only way i can curl my hair is if i put in pin curls. u may or may not know what pin curls are, so i guess i'll tell u what they are: u wrap a section of hair around ur finger, then keep it in place with a bobby pin. for some reason i cant do this to my own hair, so my mom had to do it. she refuses to do it again! it is a bit of a pain. i slept in my pin curls, and the next day my hair was bouncy and curly! it works, its just a major pain. i really hope i helped! :)

When your hair is wet, braid your hair and dry with a blow dryer and diffuser. When hair is dry apply hair spray. Undo and that should work.

For a curling iron, curl your hair around and iron in a spiral, and spray with hair spray while hair is on the iron. Do this with your whole head.

    Hope this helps!

as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.

Try this tutorial out so you can see what I''m talking about:

Its for curling ur hair with the flat iron.
make it thicker before you curl it

apply a spray wax or a curl holding mouse

my hair is the same i use put lots of product in my hair turned it up to a really high temperature and heavy hairpsray
Get some setting lotion :) you can get it everywhere, Tesco does a really good one for a quid or two!
i have thin and baby fine hair so it's very difficult to keep curls in my hair if you are looking for a beach wave look scrunch up sections of your damp hair in hair clips the less hair you put in a clip the faster it will dry spray your hair once it's all pulled up with aussie scrunch hair spray blow dry the hair spray or let it air dry when you feel like the majority of your hair is dry pull out all the clips flip your head upside down hairspray and scrunch your hair somemore and fix touchups after dried......if you want the wringlet look spray every individual section of hair you spray right before you put the iron on it this can be damaging to your hair if you do it a lot but your curls will not fall......if you want a curly/wavy curling iron look grab big sections of your hair and curl them with a medium sized curling iron spray the curl while it's in the curling iron do this to your whole head then flip your hair upside down brush out all the curls together flip your head back up and back comb the top of your hair, then hair spray with a light hairspray to keep body. good luck!

How do I get straight hair that won't frizz up later in the day?

Any products that work and keep hair straight and frizz-free. I have short thick curly hair.

Thanks for all answers. How do I get straight hair that won't frizz up later in the day?
    got2b crazy sleek.

Its in a triangular orange bottle with a hot pink top, and it's only 5 dollars!

It works really good, I love it!

Good luck! How do I get straight hair that won't frizz up later in the day?
before you straighten it, use a leave in condition spray, i use John Frieda. After you straighten it, use a little more conditioner. if it frizzes in the day, just use a little jell or something to smooth away it. Also you should use a conditioning shampoo and conditioner. try Panteen Beautiful Lengths. My hair used to be dry and after the first wash, it was sooooo silky and soft!
theres this salon brand bottle (clear with green writing) its like 15 dollars. its called paul mitchel. its amazinggggg. or theres a not so expensive type from fructis. its in like a small ball bottle. either one would work but i prefer paul mitchel.
i would NOT reccommend john friedas frizz eaze. everyone i know whos used it just says that it makes their hair greasy, my own included. i find that the best way to fight frizz is to use a shampoo meant for curls, then blow dry it straight, straighten it layer by layer, then flip your head upside down and straighten it with your head between your knees! ( sounds crazy but it works, kinda like straighening all the hairs together so they don't flip out) then use a cool shot on your hairdryer to set it. after i spray a small bit of hairspray (loreal ellnet is great) onto a brush and run it through the underside of my hair and just the ends. never onto the hair itself.

its hard work looking good, hope that helps!

How can i add more volume to straight hair without using hairspay or gel?

I have very straight thin hair and i want to add more volume to it without using hairspray or gel..is it possible? How can i add more volume to straight hair without using hairspay or gel?
This is like the story of my life. I have extremely thin, naturally straight hair, and it gets flat and tangled so easily, so I've been looking to add more volume, and I think I found a way that works (for me, anyway).

    1. Shampoo (and condition if needed) your hair.

    2. Lightly towel dry your hair.

    3. Spray detangling spray (I use Suave kids detangling spray...it's for kids but it works great on thin hair and it's a lifesaver) and comb out hair.

    4. Blow dry your hair upside down.

    5. Tease the roots slightly, no need for hairspray.

    6. Straighten your hair UPSIDE DOWN.

    7. This is the most important step- put your hair in a very high ponytail directly on top of your head (use a scrunchy, NOT a hair tie to prevent creases). Leave it in for about 20 minutes.

    8. Let down, finger comb your hair, and you're done.

If you don't straighten your hair, I'm not sure if this will work as well for you, but either way, try step 8.How can i add more volume to straight hair without using hairspay or gel?
you can tease it. usually you do it at the back of your head. i'd separate your hair in layers the tease it. what you do is you use a comb and you push your hair use the comb, towards your head. then you keep doing that with all the layers. i usually only do it to the back, but you can try doing it to the sides as well.. you might end up with very puffy hair if you do it to the sides.

    Hope that helps ! :)
well you could use a volumizing shampoo i like john frieda's luxiourous volume. it has a bunch of products togteher!

also you could try back combing just the roots a little and then you will have more volume!
yes it is, blow dry your hair upside down. and straighten your hair up with the flatiron.
when you get out of the shower blow dry it with your head upside down.

Okay....go to CVS pharmacy...in the hair spray section, there is this yellow bottle that says 'curl booster' i think it's by Fx......

Spray on damp hair, then scrunch your hair (grab hair from bottom and scrunch to your scalp) This will make a bunch of luscious curls.

    This sh!t works!!!!!!!!
I have the same problem I have very straight very thin and it doesn't hold a curl very well. I guess to get those large curls you just curl your hair and use a lot of hair spray or mousse.
I have the same problem and I asked this question a couple days ago.

Someone told me to add mousse to damp hair and curl it like that. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like it would work.
learn how to blow dry your hair straight.....learn how to do it properly, so if I were you ask someone who knows how to straighten hair by a blow dryer...a straigthening iron won't work..

my niece is half black and she has an afro, the only way we can get her hair straight is blow dryer...but don't ever ever try straightening your hair with a blow dryer without learning first, caus eyou don't want to dry out or damage your hair...

after you get out of the shower, drench your hair either with hair food spray, heat protector, hair serum....then blow dry it straight..it will make your hair look healthier, and it will protect it from the heat, and make it less frizzy......and after your down blow drying, spray some of the stuff I said above lightly around your hair and comb through...it will make your hair glisten

When you get out of the shower put mousse in your hair. Put rollers in your hair at night when it's half wet, half dry. Go over your hair with a blowdryer while the rollers are in. (Use a low heat and/or speed.) Then lightly spray hair spray over your hair. (Hold the bottle not too close to your head, it'll get crunchy.) Leave them in overnight and take them out in the morning and lightly spray with hairspray again. The Caruso Professional Roller Pack works really well, the curls stay in for days. You can buy them at http://www.folica.com/Caruso_Professi_r1鈥?/a> . If the curls don't look as natural as you want them too when you wake up, just gently run your fingers through your hair.

I also have very straight hair. I always got perms. If you use light conditioners, they last until your hair grows out. A lot of people have the mistaken idea that their perm fell out, but that is not the case. A perm chemically alters the hair structure. They can be over contitioned to relax, but they never fall out, they grow out.

  • How the hell does a guy maintain straight hair?

I naturally have thick curly hair that I've recently been straightening for a different look. The problem is that I can't afford to get it permanently straightened (拢60 at hairdressers!) and I'm fed up with how difficult it is to use straighteners on a regular basis. Are there any products that maintain straight hair or is there a cheaper alternative for having it done permanently? I've seen quite a few guys with straight hair and wonder how on earth they manage it so easily! How the hell does a guy maintain straight hair?
use the hair product that fits your hair. How the hell does a guy maintain straight hair?
I am not a guy but answer you anyway...curly hair on a guy is good looking, anyway why is it when we have one thing we always want something else. I have curly hair and use a straightener too, but it is longer hair and I use CHI X straightener that works really well. You might have to experiment with different straighteners because some are a lot better than others and really are what makes the difference. But I don't know if it's worth all the work if your hair is so much shorter. But if you straighten it really well and use a good conditioner when you shampoo (that's a key factor but it's expensive) it should last you almost a week. But if your hair gets greasy quick then you have to do it all more often. I find straightening it also makes my hair feel a lot healthier but if I do it all the time it does the opposite.
I think that you should just go with curly hair.

My boyfriend has curly hair and I find it very hot.

Women love that a man has Thick curly hair which

means that you aren't going bald anytime soon. While

though men with straight hair do seem to go bald allot quicker.

What you should do is get a trim. Then buy shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. Then get a leave in moisturizer. I use aussie Hair insurance and spray it on my scalp and comb or brush it in and let it air dry.

I promise you're going to feel like a million bucks and you have better self esteem about your looks and that you except what you were given.

you can use serums. I know the ones by John Freda are good. Or lots and lots of hair gel. Both will last til you wash them out. It is possible to have your hair chemically straightened for cheaper than 拢60 though. My hairdresser quoted me 拢25. But she is a mobile hairdresser. Also, i think boots use to offer a chemical straigtening kit for 拢14. Not sure if that is still the case.
Maybe they have naturally straight hair, or they straighten it, Its really not that hard to straighten it...

If you really want your hair straight youd straighten it.

If you dont want to do it every day dont take a shower for a day or 2.

And when you wake up just go over it a bit.

    Good luckk.

truthfully there is always a cost when it comes to style...

but i must say a perm is worth it!! my friend got one in china - for $10 xD - which is supposed to alst 3months [no flaws btw] but lasted the longest time ever!!
Get a japanese straightening perm. Lasts for about a month, looks like this: http://www.michistyle.com/Main/photo.gif
Omg i want to know the same thing sorry im no help lol.
I have long, thick, wavy hair. I'm from Northern Europe (Scottish/Irish/Dutch) originally but living in the USA and it's taken me a while to figure out what products are right for my hair living in the humid south!

Folica.com has some great deals on awesome haircare products. This is what I use in my routine:

    Chi Silk Infusion $15

A good hair-dryer - I got an awesome one on sale Solia 1875W Thermal Ionic Ceramic Hair Dryer $70

A Chi straightener that works for your hair length and type - I use CHI Ceramic Flat Iron (Turbo, 2';), it's best for my length and thickness. $120

Wash your hair with any shampoo/conditioner combo - this really isn't important - just make sure it's extra moisturizing and can care for your hair and keep it healthy as you're going to be styling it with hot tools.

Towel dry your hair, brush it out with a dangling comb/brush apply a penny size amount of Chi Silk Infusion to your hair, rub it a little in your palm and distribute evenly and comb through your hair.

Turn on your straightener on max heat, let it warm up as you dry your hair.

Get your hair dryer set it on medium heat and fastest speed. Just roughly dry it to get the moisture out of it.

I use two brushes when drying. A large wide paddle brush and a large boar bristle round brush. Turn the heat up to the highest and speed and highest heat.

Start with the paddle brush, put the concentrating nozzle on your hair dryer and start drying your hair straight down section by section with the paddle brush. When the hair is almost dry I switch to the round brush and do once over on my hair again, but this time heat is on highest and speed on medium.

Brush through your hair with the paddle brush and switch the dryer to cold and fast speed. The idea here is to set the style and bring shine. About 30 seconds is fine just basically blow all over your hair.

Hair straightener time. Grab a comb with thinner teeth. Get a few clips and section your hair into 4 sections. Right bottom, Left bottom, Right top, left top. Use the comb first and run the straightener behind it, comb is the straighteners guide. Do this for all sections.

Your hair should be very straight now. Run the straightener twice where there are any kinks, usually at the front by your ears or at the back of your neck.

This should give you a style that remains straight and non-frizzy for the entire day as long as you don't walk outside with no umbrella!

Brushes are cheap, i use a con-air round brush that was $5 and my paddle brush was from Folica too for about $10.

I find using Garnier Fructuse makes my hair perfect for straightening, especially in rushed mornings! Like you mentioned, don't forget the thermal spray. How can I get pretty waves in straight hair?

I have naturally very straight, blonde hair that goes about six inches below my shoulders. I want pretty, natural looking waves that i don't have to use a curling iron to make. Please help! How can I get pretty waves in straight hair?
There's a couple different ways to do this...

    1. You could french braid your whole hair (when it's wet), hairspray it, and let it dry (i sometimes use a blowdryer).

    2. You could put muse(idk how to spell that) in your hair (or gel). Then scrunch it up a bit before you put it up into a bun on the top of your head (that way you get your whole head as much as possible...). Make sure to hairspray or else it won't stay in.

    3. You could put hairproducts while your hair is still wet and scrunch while blowdrying.

That's all I can think of besides using a curling iron and make it look like this: http://media.photobucket.com/image/beach%20waves%20hair/sudeepphotobucket/Hilary%20Duff/hilarydf11024.jpg :) Hope that helps... :D

-Kelsey_Bear%26lt;3How can I get pretty waves in straight hair?
Use a little bit of gel and Aussie Sprunch spray.

It's easy. Apply the gel while your hair is wet. Spray on some Sprunch spray... blow dry it on low heat for a bit. Spray on a little more and then finish blow drying it. Be sure to scrunch your hair with your hands as your blow drying it. I have the same hair!!!
after washing your hair, scrunch some mousse into your hair while its still a little damp. Pull it back into a high bun and sleep with it up. In the morning, take it down. It should be wavy :) then you can style it as desired, straighten some pieces and maybe curl some for more defined pieces. good luck!
You should braid you hair when it it wet and ware it all night and when you wake up take it out and you will have a really cool wave. Or some thing else that you could do is use a strightener and just do it for a little and give it a little curl but not too much! :) GOOD LUCK!
Plait it when its wet, leave it in until its dry then take it out.
while your hair is still wet

section in two sections and braid (three if your hair is thick)

take it out when they are dry

spray some hairspry in it and scrunch it
Put your hair in braids when it is damp, and leave for at least twelve hours. (longer will make the waves stay longer)
    Use a triple-barrel-curler.

    i love mine(:
when its wet braid it than take it out...and you'll have wavy hair.

How do i make straight hair wavy?

My hair is blonde, down to the middle of my back, and pin straight. How can i get waves or a scrunched look without using a curling iron? Also, I have made my own Sea Salt Spray, and it does not work. Any other suggestions? How do i make straight hair wavy?
Shower at night, and wash ur hair with a ';Curling shampoo';. Then braid your wet hair into about 4 braids. Go to sleep with ur hair in those braids (i know, it is really annoying, but it works). When u wake up in the morning, take out the braids. Don't worry if ur hair is insanely wavy or is all over the place. Just brush it out with your hairbrush until u like the amount of ';waviness'; in your hair. Hope this helps! :)How do i make straight hair wavy?
Well if you don't want to use a curling iron then maybe you don't want to use any iron? But if it's just a curling iron you don't want to use then I would try a waver. It will make your hair so pretty! They really do work, I have had it done. If you don't want to use any type of iron then you should scrunch your hair. When you get out of the shower apply mousse from roots to ends. Then scrunch your hair with your hands. If you don't know how then You Tube will have videos that may help. You can blow dry scrunched hair on a LOW SETTING or you can let it air dry. Either way, it will look really cute. Here is that waver I was talking about too.

Try braiding your hair and leaving it over night and then undoing the braids the next morning. They're either called a braid-out or a twist-out :] Try it. I'll give you a link on how to do it :]

What are some tips for keeping long, straight hair curled for an entire day?

I am getting married in July, and I am desperate to find a product (gel, spray, mousse, etc.) and a curling iron or hot rollers that will actually make my hair hold the curl for the rest of the day.

I have tried both hot rollers and a curling iron and then sprayed the curls with hair spray, but it never holds like I wish it would.

    Any suggestions??

Thanks! What are some tips for keeping long, straight hair curled for an entire day?
Make sure you are setting your hair wet and using a setting lotion after shampooing. Setting lotion gets the hair a bit firm like hair spray and keeps the curls. (dont use too much or your hair can break) Or you may want to use rods in which you would wrap your hair around, rods usually role the hair more tightly than standard rollers. Setting lotion right before you role is key though and staying under the dryer until your hair is throughly dry. What are some tips for keeping long, straight hair curled for an entire day?
The best way is to set your hair while it is wet with the old fashioned rollers and a gel. It's a pain to be sure, but it will last. In the ';old days'; a woman would get her hair wet set once a week and it would hold for (almost) the next 7 days. I don't know how much curl you want, but the smaller the roller the tighter the curl.

As for the type of product to use, you need to find a gel that will resist humidity. I think the bed head products are great for this. There is a gel in a can that works wonders. Good luck and Congratulations on your wedding!
I would suggest you find a hair stylist for your wedding that knows how to do shirley temple curls. Have you're hair dresser do a test on your hair to see if you'll like it. If you're hair dresser doesn't know how to do it, I suggest you find a Spanish Hair Dresser who will definitely be able to do it.

If you are trying to save yourself money by doing it yourself. I suggest you buy Tressemme Curling Mouse. Buy any curling gel, there's a good one by Garnier. And any hair spray. You can do the curling iron thing, but chances are they won't hold out if you are doing it yourself.
I feel your pain... i can't even keep a barrette in mine. I can't think of any thing that would make mine do what it was supposed to involving a curl... but usually when i get it done professionally it has a little more staying power. After the ceremony get those flat clips that snap up the metal ones and roll each curl back up and clip it until you get to where your pics are and let them out. Then roll them back up before the reception and again let them down. By the time they are totally out it will be the end of the night and noone will care. I find that pinning them back up in a spiral does keep them longer - its work but ya gotta do what you gotta do
when using the iron, be sure to apply a light spray to the root and blow a low heat to it. it will give your hair lift. then apply a medium hold spray while the hair is on the iron. i know it seems like a lot of work but it works.

How can a black male get long straight hair?

I've wondered for a while, if it's possible for a black man to have his hair permanently straight, or even if there's just a way to keep it straight throughout the day. If there is a way to do this without damaging hair, can someone please give me some tips? thanks in advanceHow can a black male get long straight hair?
There is no way to turn curly hair straight without heat or chemical but there are ways to naturally loosen the curl. These are some recipes for natural curl loosening.

    Cherrylola treatment:

    2 part yogurt

    1/2 part baking soda

    1/2 part Braggs Amino Acids

    Baking soda loosener

    1/2 cup of baking soda

    1 cup conditioner

leave on for about an hour then rinse out.

    yogurt/honey/bananas mix

    1/2 cup yogurt(or sour cream)

    2 tablespoons honey

    1 mashed banana

    Coconut and lime treatment

    1 tin of coconut milk

2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

    4 tablespoons of lime juice

2-3 tablespoons of cornstarch(for easier application)

well you could grow it out and get it chemically straightened. that would last for a few weeks but it's not exactly good for your hair.

or get a brazilian blowout. i'm not sure how it will workout for your type of hair but I have a friend who had really curly hair and had to spend two hours everyday straightening it and after she got this, she only straightens it for about 10 minutes.

My suggestion is to get a good hairspray with low amounts of alcohol and get a Marcel curling iron. (You might need to go to a beauty supply store) Oh and its a type of curling iron not a brand. Then once the iron is hot you take the strand of hair starting at the roots and rap it around JUST the barrel. This allows all of the hair to touch the hot part of the iron and the roots stay on a little longer then the ends. It also makes beautiful curls that I do on brides a lot!! They look natural!! Then spray each curl right after you are done curling it. I would suggest having a friend do they curling for you as it is really easy to burn yourself ex specially when you are trying to curl the hair in the back! What are some tips for keeping long, straight hair curled for an entire day?
Paul Mitchell's hairspray sold in salons and at walmart.
If you are just trying to make it stay curly for that one day (you wedding), I would recommend just having it done at a nice salon. The cost would be almost equivalent of having to go buy styling products. Also, whenever I have had an updo, it always always always stays much better and tighter than anything I have tried to do myself.

If you insist on doing it yourself, try spraying some good hairspray (I recommend bumble and bumble) right before you take the curling iron to it, and again after. This will leave some build up on your iron, but it works a lot better than just putting the product on afterwards.
Use the plastic, snap on, magnetic rollers with the smooth barrel and then apply a setting lotion to wet/damp hair. This way your curls last all day long.
i have the same problem. you just have to use some plastic curlers and then spray your hair with a low alcohol hair spray(damages hair) try going to either a salon or a drug store for the best product for your hair. if you do get it styled by a professional you should ask them how to maintain the curls for a whole day without a perm.
wash your hair the nights before and put in rag curls, or pin curls (just like in the 80s?) the next morning use a curling iron to set them more and then use lots and lots of product. it should last you the day.

on another note, i always thought you should look like you on your wedding day. its probably none of my business but long straight hair is beautiful and thats how your fiancee fell in love with you. i say do it on your honeymoon, make it like a sexy surprise

    good luck!.
perm rod it with the white snap perm rods that will get it.
    i honestly don't know.
Roller set it or get it permed
honestly the only thing you can do is roller set it or poss go natural. other than that you are pretty much out of luck

1.Part your hair first. 2. Make 3 braids on each side. 3. Get a straightener and start from the top of your hair and CLAP the straightener until you get to the bottom. Do each piece seperatly. 4. let your her out and it will be wavy. I saw it on a style show.. My hair is wavy riht now too.

I have the same problem. I've always wanted beachy waves but had stick straight, flat hair. A friend of mine actually gave me a subtle perm and I love it, because I like to spend absolutely no time on my hair in the morning, so I like only having to perm it once and awhile and have the hair I want all the time in between. But before I did that I used these techniques: OPTION 1: curling iron (self explanatory) OPTION 2: Small straightening Iron (Put it at the top of a section of your hair and then turn the iron halfway around and ease it down through your hair, creating waves, there are videos about it on youtube. remember to hairspray your waves after using an iron, or they'll fall out after a couple hours). OPTION 3: Curlers (They are a little ridiculous, but they work okay. I've used non-heated velcro ones, put them on damp hair and left them on for a few hours.) OPTION 4: Scrunching spray/gel (The problem with this technique for us is that that stuff is created mostly for people with naturally wavy hair to better define their waves, it doesn't really create them, and if it does, it doesn't last long.) So my advice would be one of the irons. I used to be able to get away with only curling mine every-other-day, because I wouldn't wash it the next day and it would actually look better, the curls would be kind of messy and bohemian. Anyway I hope that helps.
I love using a 3 barrel curling iron they work really good, and its much better then a crimper.

If you want that more wavy look, rather then a frizzy look.

If you were to get a 3 barrel curling iron, make sure you get a ceramic one rather then a metal one.

Okay, so I have the Sedu straightener. I use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo. Are there any other products I can buy that will give me straighter hair? Don't recommend a new straightener, I can't afford one now. The brand and name is great, and try to include price. several companies (pantene, aussie, maybe herbal essences, etc) have mousses you can get to put in your hair that will help straighten it, use those products, along with the dangerously straight shampoo/conditioner, and your straightener, and it should help hold the straight-ness in..:]

What kind of shampoo makes an 11 year old have straight hair?

impossible unless you use harsh chemicals( i doubt you want to) And no shampoo and conditioner is going to do that! Tell your daughter to except her curly hair! :DWhat kind of shampoo makes an 11 year old have straight hair?
ive used ';straighten up'; by sunsilk shampoo and conditioner. its purple. then there is a cream that is the same brand/line and you put it in ur hair when its damp then blow dry straight with a really big round brush. maybe run a straightener over it a little on low heat if its still a big poofy. straighteners dont do ur hair any good but as long as you trim it often and don't do it every day its the same or less damaging than a curling iron.
i like the Bed Head products cause they work really well and they have a straight hair one but they are pretty expensive

    aussie sprunch spray works.
a good scrunching spray will do the trick... you'll just have to use a lot of it. Also, try a diffuser attachment for your blowdryer.
A diffusior!!!!! I want the same look. Tomorrow my mom is picking me up my diffusior. They are not that expensive. CVS, wallgreens, wallmart, target etc.

How can I make my annoyingly straight hair into waves or curls?

I have straight hair that is horrible to curl. It just doesn't hold a curl to save it's life, but it looks gorgeous when it is curled. I love hair that is slightly wavy and tossled looking and would love to be able to get that. I don't want my hair to be stiff or crunchy though. Is there any way to achieve this? when my hairs wet I just but little buns all over my head and then I sleep in it all night. when I wake up i just blow dry i on low to make sure it's not too damp and then I take the little buns out and viola! wavy hair. hair spray and mousse helps with this! How can I make my annoyingly straight hair into waves or curls?
i am in the same boat as you.
Well what you need to do is a get a curling CREAM no mousse or serum. and curl with a rather smal curler and it should blossom right up.
forget products...this hair curler set works so good you dont need product! i have pin straight fine hair and i put these in my hair. when they are done it looks like i had my hair professionally set. and the curls last all day and night. http://www.drugstore.com/qxp89802_333181_sespider/caruso/salonpro_molecular_steam_hairsetter_30_rollers_5_sizes.htm

i would shop around, i paid 30 for mine but i could only find this link to a set that costs 50
Bed Head works great. people are recommending this, so try it.
i dont know but if u find out let me know lol my hair is straight and no matter how much it is curled or tons of product is put in it , it will not hold curl more than 45 mins to an hr. but good luck
My hair is the same as yours. For whatever reason, if I put it up in a messy bun for a few hours, it will be all crinkly and wavy when I take it down... but that doesn't give nice uniform curls or waves. The only thing I've found so far that actually works is going to the hairdresser for prom and they used a LOT of hairspray, so it's definitely not practical for everyday styling. I starred this question and am hoping someone can clue us in! Thanks for asking! :D
    use a craling iron
step over put finger in light socket turn on, kidding mosse it.
Try making your hair into little braids all around your head after your shower at night. (towel dry) Make sure they are tight. Sleep with those on and in the morning when you undo them you will have wavy hair. Mouse it up and it last all day.

Sounds weird but it works for me.
I agree! I like Miley Cyrus hair. But I dont care for her much. ANYWAYS.....back to the point......the old sleepover tradition sleep with braids in. Works for me!
I agree with several here. Don't comb your hair when its wet, apply some mouse, and scrunch. Bed head works well too. The only other option would be a perm or steam rollers. Good luck!
Best way I know, is when your hair is 80% dry, it looks dry but feels damp, put your hair in two braids or four braids. Fall asleep with your hair like that and the next day you'll wake up with lovely waves. As for styling products, the best I've ever used is Biolage mousse and gelee. I love to make waves shimmer with a dime sized drop of Redken Glass. Rub that in the palm of your hand and use your finger tips to spread it throughout your hair, avoiding the roots, for best results.
after a shower don't comb your hair very neat make it a little bit messy...
Did you every try curling you hair with a straightener?

Sounds impossible, but it really works!

    Try it! :)
    Gorilla Glue
    Well, there are several ways:

    - Do the old traditional thing: put it in 2 to 6 braids for a few hours or overnight and take it out. This works great when your hair is wet to begin with.

    - Put some curling cream on your hair after showering and let it air-dry.

    - Shower during nights, not mornings. After you shower, towel-dry your hair until it's only a bit damp, then put it in rollers. Leave it in overnight while sleeping and take them out in the morning.
    curling shampoo and straw set
scrunch ur hair when wet. curl it
i have the same problem and sleeping in sponge rollers works for me and the curls last all day

  • How to make straight hair into jerry curls?

I was born with jerry curls but my mom said that my hair was too thick. Now my hair is straight. How do I make into jerry curls again?

Does it have to be natural? How to make straight hair into jerry curls?
Haha! Nooooo. Nobody is born with a jheri curl. A jheri curl is a relaxer that ALTERS your hair texture to look curly. Now, you might have meant to say: ';I was born with naturally curly hair but...'; If you're saying that your hair is straight because you permed your hair then, yes. You must be natural in order for your hair to be curly. Which means, you will have to do a BC and cut off all the permed hair. Thick is beautiful. I hate thin hair. How to make straight hair into jerry curls?
You don't have jeri curls because a jeri curl is a curly perm (a chemical that makes the hair curly). You have natural curls. If you don't want your natural curls then you can grow out your relaxer, cut off the relaxed ends, and get a curly perm to make your hair curly. You can't put a curly perm on top of a relaxer because you're hair will fall out, so you have to grow out your relaxed hair first. Also, you can't just go out and buy some curl activator and buy small rods - that doesn't make a jeri curl. I've gone from a jeri curl to a relaxer and my hairdresser had to cut off all the jeri curled hair in order to apply the relaxer, and it's the same way if you're going from a relaxer to a jeri curl. They're not exactly the same chemicals, because if they were then people would easily be able to switch between relaxer and jeri curl whenever they wanted.

BTW, jeri curls are out of style, so you'll probably be better of wearing your own curls rather than faux curls. Plus, I think thick hair is much better than limp, thin hair.
Girl.. simply! get the ';care free curl'; spray which is part of the GOLD brand family and you will need to get the smallest hair rollers. break your hair in small sections. each section piece of hair you want to spray it and them roll that piece. once you repeat this until all your hair is in roller handheld blow dryer until it is completely dry. (appox 15-20 mins) or you can use one of the sit in dyers. once it is fully dried, take out the rollers and finger your hair, add more spray for the extra wet look. i hope this helps!
I have relaxed hair but when i want that wet curly look i use ion spray gel from sally's beauty supply store. Its alcohol free and my hair doesnt shrink up after i apply it, in fact it looks better after it dries. Its not a jerry curl look, more when you see a hispanic person with curly hair, thats the look i get.

How do girls get long pretty straight hair without it looking damaged?

You know how you see some girls and there hair is like in the middle of their back and its straight (but doesn't look like they straightened it). But yet its not damaged looking at all! if you can think of anything lemme know!!!

thank you!How do girls get long pretty straight hair without it looking damaged?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hairHow do girls get long pretty straight hair without it looking damaged?
well im kinda one of those girls ;F

i blow dry since my hair is wavy and when i use the straighter it looks damaged and kinda fake [if u kno what i mean]

[i go to the salon to get a blow out]

ps: when you are blow drying your hair ALWAYS use a heat protector or else your hair WILL get damaged
    Sometimes it's extensions.

But if it's natural, it's just a growing process. You have to trim in often, use a heat resistant serum before straightening or blow drying and basically, just get a nice style or cut.
well some girls do have naturally straight hair.

but if you use a heat protectant spray and use your straightener on a lower heat, it saves you some damage.

    hope i helped! :]
yeah- i have that kind of hair

just wash it regularly (but not like everyday..it mks ur hair fall out if you do)..maybe wash 2-3 times a week
