What hairstyles are there for straight hair?

I have naturally thin, straight hair and everyday I have my hair put up in a ponytail. It's boring seeing the same hairstyle everyday. Are there other styles I can try out that are quick and easy for me to in the morning? What hairstyles are there for straight hair?
you can curl your hair but it may take quite a bit of a time, put your hair half up, put your bangs or any hair that is like a bang up and leave the rest or you're hair down, put you hair in a bun, a sideways ponytail, 2 pigtails, braid your hair, braid you hair at night and take it out in the morning and leave it out for the day you will have waves and if you want you could spray it, and you could pull you hair back with a hairband, clip you hair to the side, these are the hairstyles i can think of for nowwWhat hairstyles are there for straight hair?
Part your hair in the middle. Take about an inch of hair from each side and pull it back, securing it with a clip to the crown of your head. Then, French braid the remainder of your hair. Experiment with these variations:

* Tie the French braid about two inches from the end and find a way to curl it (or chunk it up with gel).

* Braid thread or yarn into your hair and clip it up.

* Braid all of the hair that goes into the clipped part in front (don't use rubber bands, just let it hold) and clip it up. The ends may not hold, but they can't come loose as long as the clip stays put.

This may sound confusing and I can't really explain it, but this is an easy hairstyle that doesn't require a hair cut, brand name hair products, and is easy to do in the morning.
get a shampoo and roller set at a salon look at all the models out there with fantastic roller set hair
You can buy headbands for your hair.Or you can buy little clips to make you hair look CUTE... 8D
you can get your hair layered and it will look like it has more body and you can use sunsik yellow if you hair is flat too like mine
Try keeping it clean, that is more attractive than any cut.
Try scruching it, it looks nice...or try curling it! Good luck!
oh, there are PLENTY of styles for straight hair, experiment! try leaving it down

  • What is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?

I have naturally straight hair and i wanted to buy a diffuser but i DO NOT know which one to buy..... i want my hair to look like it is naturally curly!.....

please help..and thank you in advance. What is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?
Pretty much any diffuser will work on a regular blow dryer ( con-air has a nice one) just do not push the diffuser all the way down on the blow dryer because you could end up melting it on there. Since your hair is very straight try a wavy enhancing productWhat is the best diffuser to use on straight hair?
Hahaa. I was just like you months ago. But honestly they all do the same thing. I ended up getting a conair one (which works fine). But if you have naturally straight the diffuser is NOT going to create any curls whatsoever. I learned that the hard way %26amp; ended up being disappointed :(! The diffuser is for people which have naturally curly or wavy hair. Sadly...

How do I get super straight hair?

I use professional straighteners and herbal essence straightening spampoo and conditioner but my ends still curl. What can I do to get it super straight. How do I get super straight hair?
aveda finishing gloss while your hair is still wet from the shower. blow dry it.. straight iron.. pomade. and tada straight hair! How do I get super straight hair?
ok, i signed up to yahoo justg so i could answer your question.

i used to be a hairdresser so, you can trust me here. :)

you need to blow dry your hair before you straighten it.

i have SUPER curly hair and if i dont blowdry it, it wont stay straight.

its all in the products you use.

    i have a parlux hairdryer.

    it was about $200

i dont even have to straighten my hair anymore, the hairdryer works so well.

tru using a treatment in your hair inbetween your shampoo and conditioner.

shampoo opens your hair folicles and conditioner closes them

so you want to put your treatment in between them both. :)

the treatment will help relax your curls and make it softer and easier to stretch.
try a chi and do it hard and long
    ghd
You could try Japanese hair straightening (thermal reconditioning), which is permanent. Personally, the straightening shampoos don't work for me. Be sure to always blow dry your hair straight, right after you towel dry, do the front first. I use Loreal Vive conditioner, works miracles (pink bottle), and Garnier Fructis (sp?) shine spray, you could try a fragrance or something else that will weigh down your hair.
I have the perfect answer!!! My friend has this problem..u need to get a Chinese perm! Its super super super straight! And it last forever! But it cost...like alot! But worth it! They are kinda hard to find places that do them though! Hope this helps!
well you could go to the hair salon have your hair relaxed, thats what I do.
Use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny on your ends when your hair is wet before you blow dry it and also try VO5 Heat Defense Spray/ Miracle Spray. Try it out =)
use a hair straightener and press hard, and do it slowly.

if you dont have one, when you blowdry it, use a brush and brush it while you dry it

OR make sure you dont have any split ends
instead or the straightening shampoo, try a de-poof shampoo because sometimes this will calm the curls at your ends enough for you to be able to straighten them. Also, make sure that the heat on your straightener is high enough and that you stay clamped on your ends for a little longer than the rest of your hair. Hope this helps!
Watch this video. I don't really like herbal essences, but the video explains it well:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=0Ll77d6hjYQ
I would go to a salon...
i have this same problem i hope reading the answers you got will help me
put some oil in your hair and use a flat iron and then spray it with a holding sheen. another thing is your ends frizz up when they need to be clipped so try that also. your might have split ends
    Perm it.

Not the curly kind of perm, the straight kind. You can get your hair professionally relaxed or do it at home.

    Pros!:

It makes your hair DEAD straight.

It lasts forever (until the hair grows out) even if you get it wet or wash it or anything.

    It's pretty cheap

    Cons:

It kills your hair like dying it does. But a little worse.

it stinks to high heaven a couple of hours after you do it

you have to survive withoutwashing your hair for something like 3 days afterwards.

and even if you find afterwards theres still a few flicks and curls, now that you've relaxed it it WILL straighten.

(make sure you're using GHD, they're a godsend!)
you could straighten it with a straightener. or you could go to ur hairstylist and ask to get it ';razored';. i think its easier to straighten like that, but make sure its what u want before you do it.
straighteners and ironers. i mean the ones that iron clothes
Blow dry your hair using an ionic round brush to get body and it will take curl out of your hair. Then when hair is completely dry, go over with a flat iron. This will get your hair super straight, as opposed to just using a flat iron.
    i know the perfect thing.

    its called a straightner.

it comes in a box or packet and can be found in a store.
you go a hair dresser or get a straighter
    go to a salon
is your straightner REALLY hot, that oftens helps.
this is silly but i use a iron, yeh a regular iron and it works the best, and a cd wrapped with a towel, just don't do it all the time
If you want it temporary- straighten it with a flat iron, if you want it for 6 months get it relaxed in a special salon

But straightening your hair damages it greatly- it depends how old u are, but if ur young I highly reccomend you DONT straighten it.......
    use an iron!!!

    trust me !

what you do is, you heat up your iron, take a cloth and iron your hair!

    trust me, this works !
well, i used to use herbal essences but it didnt work to wel for me but then i started using sunsilk and it worked better, and continue to use a straightner
use a flattening iron and what works for me is redken 12...it's this wax like paste that straightens my hair pretty well
There are sprays to use b4 straight ironing your hair. Make sure your iron is heated up enough, but not too much for it to burn your hair. Use a lot of conditioning products also if you use the iron a lot. Go to your local beauty salon and you could also ask them, thats your best bet.

    HEAT PROTECTION.

Straightning creme as well. Blowdrying your hair straight before you straighten?

These work for me anyway and I'm natural curls/waves.
I have the same problem but I just straightening jel (I forget the name but any straightening jel will do), the conair blow drier with the straightening attachment, adn then I finish it off with a straightener. It is bone straight. Trust me, you will not regret it.

you dont have to cut it because it sounds pretty to me especially if its long. you could pin the sides of your hair back with bobby pins, put your hair in a low bun kinda off to the side with a pretty clip like a flower attached to the clip on the side the bun is on, you could put your hair in a pony tail or bun and put one braid on each side of your head and make it go into the bun, you can look in seventeen magazine because they have one hair style for everyday of the week and usually they are pretty hairstyles. i hope i helped =]
    You have my hair!

I like to keep my hair super long, but with layers all over my hair (and not just in the front). This gives my hair volume and body -- thick hair with no layers can be too dense and heavy.

I like curling my hair with a curling iron because of my natural wave. It never has to be perfect. Once I curl my hair, I run my fingers through it to make it more soft and wavy.

Most of the pics on this page are great for long, thick hair with layers and waves:

    How about a Rihanna bob?

With a good stylist the thickness canbe reduced to look more comfortable and easy going than holding alot on your head.

I got one and it looked great. But after a while it started to gain it's thickness again, so i suggest getting some of the thinning scissors or shears.

How can I get perfectly straight hair?

I have naturally wavy hair, and I hate it...

I use a straightener, but that never gets me through the day. My hair always gets all curly and wavy after a couple hours.

Is there any way I can have straight hair? How can I get perfectly straight hair?
get it permanlty straightned at a salonHow can I get perfectly straight hair?
Hi there. Now, your first given clue to us is that, it's natural. Now, this have to deal with the genetics. Being wavy and so on, it's all in the disulphide bond in your DNA, and nothing can be done about that.

Straightener only gives effect to those less-wavy hair (most of the time) but ain't permanent. Your hair kept on growing and it's always new from the bottom.

Now, there's 2 way for you to do this:

    1. Rebonding

    2. Live with it. Everyone is given by nature how we should look like and sometimes, people change it. Some people will look very nice in wavy hair (you don't like it wavy doesn't mean people don't like to see you in wavy hair, perhaps, they are jealous?).

    Have a nice-hair-day.
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

I've got naturally puffier/wavier type blonde hair and like to straighten it. Are there any fantastic products out there to keep the humidity from puffing my hair back out after 30 minutes? I've only tried the Garnier Fructic line, and it didn't seem to do much for me. Thanks for any tips!I just moved to Atlanta and the humidity is destroying my straight hair styles- any tips?
Try Wired by Rusk. It's a flexible styling creme that you put into your hair when you're done straightening it.

How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?

I want to look glamerous, but not trashy. I've been told I need to work on my look, to stand a chance in the entertainment industry. How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?
I wear my makeup in what I've been told looks very 'classy', and we have the same coloring! It's all about looking well put-together but not overdone. Here's what I do:

    Wash face and moisturize

Apply a light foundation evenly over the whole face

Cover up and blemishes with concealer

Use a large brush to apply a light dusting of blush over the apple of my cheeks (I use a rosy pink)

Starting at about the middle of my upper lids, I draw a line of black liquid liner to the outer edges, with a tiny little tail at the end (I ALWAYS get complements on my eye makeup)

Apply one coat of mascara to the upper and lower lashes

Finish up with some clear lip gloss, and done!

I use mainly cover girl products, I find they work really well and I don't blow a wad of cash on my makeup products.

Just make sure you buy blush, foundation, and eyeliners that match your tones. How do I look classy with little makeup? I have dark straight hair and hazel green eyes.?
Stick with sheer gloss and two coats of mascara. You'll look polished but not over done.
go to the mall, and find a MAC. This question goes to those who actually work makeup for a living. There are very good at it, and I say be comftorable with what they say or it isn't worth it
you can go with anything but you'd probally for classy make up go good in navy or gray smokey eyes and a bit of berry or reddish lip stick (if your going for classy). i could tell you exactly what would look good on you and what you need to get if you had a picture of you. maybe add a picture and i'll come back and tell you more.
purple eye liner really brings out greens eyes so try usin a little of tht. only use a little mascara to make lashes look more natural .. hope this helped xx
Go just a little darker with a smokey eyeshadow and black eyeliner. Your foundation needs to match your skin but then add a little bronzer.

Go to any major department store...Belk, Dillards, etc...they offer makeovers to show you how to wear makeup.
