This is like the story of my life. I have extremely thin, naturally straight hair, and it gets flat and tangled so easily, so I've been looking to add more volume, and I think I found a way that works (for me, anyway).
1. Shampoo (and condition if needed) your hair.
2. Lightly towel dry your hair.
3. Spray detangling spray (I use Suave kids detangling spray...it's for kids but it works great on thin hair and it's a lifesaver) and comb out hair.
4. Blow dry your hair upside down.
5. Tease the roots slightly, no need for hairspray.
6. Straighten your hair UPSIDE DOWN.
7. This is the most important step- put your hair in a very high ponytail directly on top of your head (use a scrunchy, NOT a hair tie to prevent creases). Leave it in for about 20 minutes.
8. Let down, finger comb your hair, and you're done.
If you don't straighten your hair, I'm not sure if this will work as well for you, but either way, try step 8.How can i add more volume to straight hair without using hairspay or gel?
you can tease it. usually you do it at the back of your head. i'd separate your hair in layers the tease it. what you do is you use a comb and you push your hair use the comb, towards your head. then you keep doing that with all the layers. i usually only do it to the back, but you can try doing it to the sides as well.. you might end up with very puffy hair if you do it to the sides.
Hope that helps ! :)
well you could use a volumizing shampoo i like john frieda's luxiourous volume. it has a bunch of products togteher!
also you could try back combing just the roots a little and then you will have more volume!
yes it is, blow dry your hair upside down. and straighten your hair up with the flatiron.
when you get out of the shower blow dry it with your head upside down.
